Tina Jacobs
Director of Community Outreach
Before coming to Komen North Jersey in September 2011, Tina Jacobs was employed by the South Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® for four years as the Director of Mission Initiatives. In that capacity, she was responsible for the administration of 25 grants, outreach and breast health education in a three county service area, worked on all public policy initiatives, and handled all new patient calls.
Tina has a great deal of knowledge about breast cancer and has made it a priority to educate women and men about breast cancer risks. She was the staff partner for the Affiliate Speaker Bureau, and served as the volunteer coordinator. In addition Tina has worked with the local breast health coalitions and community cancer councils.
Tina is a breast cancer survivor, and feels that knowing her family history and being diligent in having breast exams and mammograms helped find her cancer at its earliest stage, and has been cancer free since 1998.
Tina resides in Summit and has a husband and two children.
