Kelly Moseman and Kristin Ricca presented $1,609 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure North Jersey Affiliate, on November 9, the culmination of the fundraising efforts at the Academy of Saint Elizabeth in Convent Station during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. High school seniors and co-presidents of the service club, the girls spearheaded fundraising efforts that included a dress-down day, bake sale and pink bracelet sales. Kristina’s passion for Komen North Jersey is ‘in the family’ as her mother, Lori Dwyre and aunt, Donna Dwyre, who own Cove Carpet in Summit, are both breast cancer survivors and long-time advocates for Komen North Jersey. If you are interested raising funds and awareness at your school, please contact Komen North Jersey at www.KomenNorthJersey.org or (908) 277-2904.
