Komen North Jersey Events

Whether you are a golfer, a bowler, a chef or a runner, you can contribute to the fight against breast cancer 365 days a year.  You become part of a grassroots network that has changed the way the world talks about and treats breast cancer. You can make a difference as you celebrate survivorship, honor those who have lost their battle, and most importantly, raise funds and awareness for the fight against this life-threatening disease. There are many different ways to support Komen's mission

Tuesday, September 14 Massage for the Cure 

Each year, Massage Envy hosts Massage for the Cure events in cities across the United States, including 18 locations in the Northern New Jersey service area.  Participating individuals will receive a one-hour massage for $49 and Massage Envy will donate $15 per massage to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  In addition, customers and employees will be asked to make donations to Komen for the Cure.  Massage Envy is donating a minimum of $250,000 in connection with the program.  All donations collected at the North Jersey events will benefit the Komen North Jersey affiliate.  Massage for the Cure has raised move than $1.4 million for breast cancer research and community health programs.  For more information visit www.massageenvy.com

Fit for the Cure
In 2010, Wacoal will host Fit for the Cure events to help women across the country find their perfect fit.  For every woman fitted at a Fit for the Cure event Wacoal will donated $2 to Komen for the Cure.  No purchase necessary.  Wacoal will also donated $2 for every Wacoal bra or shapewear item or b.tempt’d bra purchasd at these events.

"The 10/10/10 Ride for the Cure"

There will be a 15mile ride, a 25 mile ride and a 50mile ride, leaving from and returning to the Randolph shop. There will be on course support provided and possibly a rest stop for the 50 mile ride ( exact route and stop to be determined) Refreshments and food will be provided at the Randolph shop at the end of the ride. We will be offering 'training' rides from the Randolph shop and from the Morristown area in the months leading up to the event.

New Jersey Fashion Week will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure® North Jersey Affiliate


 

The Shopping Benefit 2010 (tickets will be available at the Komen House beginning September)
Bloomingdale’s at Bridgewater Commons, The Mall at Short Hills, The Shops at Riverside & Willowbrook Mall
October 20th - 21st

 

Storewide event to benefit charities throughout New Jersey. The Shopping Benefit will feature special savings, gift incentives, entertainment, fashion events, kids’ activities, product demonstrations and more. Komen North Jersey will raise funds through ticket sales.
Ticket will be sold for $10.00 each entitling the bearer to a 15% - 20% savings with limited
exclusions, valid only during The Shopping Benefit event on October 20 and 21. Savings certificates cannot be combined and are good on almost all merchandise purchases made throughout the store on the day of the event. In addition to the $10.00 the charity receives by selling the ticket, Bloomingdale’s will donate another $5 to the charity for every ticket stub collected at the door that was pre-sold by that charity.
