The Warriors in Pink initiative is designed to complement Ford’s
sponsorship of the Race for the Cure. As such, the Warriors in
Pink apparel collection features bold symbols that embody the
Warrior credo of taking charge, living out loud, harnessing power
and standing together. Ford’s commitment stands strong with
100% of net proceeds going to Susan G. Komen on all WIP apparel
purchases; for information about specific donation amounts per

KitchenAid’s Cook for the Cure® line of pink products benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. For each Pink Product sold and registered, KitchenAid will donate at least 10 percent of the retail price to Komen. KitchenAid will donate a minimum of $350,000 in 2010. The Pink Products must be registered on-line at www.CookfortheCure.com to generate a donation.

 

 


Those who love to cook and entertain can turn a meal with friends or family into a party with a purpose by simply asking each guest to make a donation to Komen for the Cure®. Guests can choose to have their donations benefit their local Komen Affiliate. Ideas for raising funds while hosting a party for family and friends along with recipes are included in the Cook for the Cure® Party Kit. KitchenAid, in cooperation with Villeroy & Boch, introduces a ceramic serving plate that reads “Cook for your friends. Cook for your family. Cook for the Cure.” The plate, marked by a pink ribbon, is meant to be passed to friends and family along with a culinary specialty prepared by the giver. Once the plate is passed, the recipient is then asked to do the same.
Every time the plate is passed and registered at www.CookfortheCure.com/PassthePlate , KitchenAid will donate $5 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Those who register will be able to view their plate’s travels on the site and upload stories, recipes and photos about their pass. Thanks to the dedication and passion of Yoplait yogurt consumers this year, Yoplait has donated more than $2.6 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure through its Save Lids to Save Lives® and the Race for the Cure® initiatives. Yoplait is so thankful to those who have helped generate much needed funds for their local Susan G. Komen for the Cure Affiliates and their community’s fight against breast cancer. With your help, Yoplait is proud to have donated more than $30 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the breast cancer cause during the past 13 years.

New in 2011, through the Share the Pink promotion, specially marked 4-packs of Yoplait Original and Yoplait Light (strawberry and peach flavors) will benefit  Komen. For each lid mailed in from April 1, 2011 – August 31, 2011, Yoplait will donate 50 cents up to $50,000. Specially marked packages will be available for purchase at Walmart nationwide.

In 2010, Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and Yoplait are teaming up to educate and engage Hispanic communities through a special grant program for Komen Affiliates. Grants will be awarded to several Affiliates to engage new Hispanic leaders and Hispanic-serving organizations in key Affiliate activities, including governance, fundraising, communications, education, community profile, and grant making. Yoplait will donate up to $250,000 this year in support of this grant program.

In 2011, Wacoal will host Fit for the Cure® events to help women across the country find their perfect fit. For every woman fitted at a Fit for the Cure® event Wacoal will donate $2 to Komen for the Cure. No purchase is necessary. Balance Walking by Foot Solutions is a proud partner of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and committed to the fight against breast cancer. From October 1, 2009 through December 31, 2011, Foot Solutions will donate to Komen $5.00 per set of Pink Ribbon Balance Walking Poles sold, $2.00 per Pink Pole Balance Walking Book sold and, in connection with each Set of Pink Ribbon Balance Walking Poles sold on www.footsolutions.com or www.balancewalking.com, an additional $5.00 to the participating Affiliate of the purchaser’s choice selected from the drop-down list of participating Affiliates, with a combined guaranteed minimum donation of $100,000.00. Mike’s Day for a Cure: Susan G. Komen for the Cure is excited to partner with Jersey Mike’s Subs and be the beneficiary of the Mike’s Way to a Cure ® program.
Beginning May 1, 2011 and ending October 31, 2011, Mike’s Way to a Cure will raise a minimum of $350,000 for Komen for the Cure through the sales of pink souvenir cups, t-shirts, and the Pink Ribbon Combo (consisting of a sub, chips and a drink). Jersey Mike’s will also host Mike’s Day for the Cure on October 5 From May 1, 2011 through November 15, 2011, Jersey Mikes shall donate to Komen 70 cents per plastic cup sold, 70 cents per sub combo sold, and 100% off the retail price of each t-shirt sold, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $350K.Jersey Mike’s employees and customers will further support Komen’s promise to end breast cancer forever by forming teams and participating in more than 50 different Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events in 2011.
