Mammography in Motion
Screening Access of Value to Essex Women and Men
 
The U.M.D.N.J. "S.A.V.E. Women and Men" Program is a lead agency of New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection (NJCEED). It brings education and screening to Essex County residents who do not have medical insurance. This program provides screening mammograms, clinical breast exams, and education in user-friendly settings.

Project Self-Sufficiency in Sussex County is conducting an awareness campaign – MAMMOGRAMS SAVE LIVES – as part of their 2010 Community Grant from the Komen North Jersey Affiliate.  Each month they are profiling a ‘success story’ to share the life-saving message that MAMMOGRAMS SAVE LIVES.

Anabela, the Breast Health Navigator at Clara Maass Medical Center, and Moira, a stage 4 metastatic breast cancer patient, talk about their relationship and how Anabela has been able to help Moira. Anabela's position is funded by a grant from Komen North Jersey.   watch the video
