What is the $250 Challenge?

Take the $250 Challenge – Challenge yourself, your family and your friends to help you raise $250 in pledges for the North Jersey Race for the Cure. 

Remember – your registration fee gets us to the starting line – additional fundraising gets us to the treatments and the CURE.

If every 2011 participant had raised at least $250, Komen North Jersey would have raised an additional $1,000,000.  We would have been able to DOUBLE our 2011 investment in the North Jersey community, providing more grants to help local organizations provide breast health education, screening and treatment. 

For those of you who raised over $250 in previous years – THANK YOU – and please keep up the good work!

Taking the challenge is easy – just register and make a commitment to raise a minimum of $250. 

This is a sample of what $250 provides:

• Two mammograms
• Educational information on good breast health
• Financial assistance for non medical needs for breast cancer patients
• Patient navigation services for women with abnormal mammograms
• Transportation to screenings and follow-up
• Prosthesis and compression garments for breast cancer patients
