There are several convenient options on Race Day.
PARK AND RIDE (closed)
Paid Participants will be taken by shuttle from the parking location to Essex County Branch Brook Park. Passes have been sent via email. (direct questions to cure@komennorthjersey.org)
Shuttle busses will be stationed at the Park drop-off location on Heller Parkway after the Race to take participants back to the parking lot.

Public Transportation via NJ Transit
Newark Light Rail
The Newark Light Rail system provides service to Essex County Branch Brook Park from Newark Penn Station and Newark Broad Street Station, as well as from a large park & ride facility on Grove Street in Bloomfield (convenient to the Garden State Parkway), and several light rail stations within the City of Newark.
The adult fare is $1.35 for a single-use ticket. Children under the age of 12 accompanied by a full-fare paying adult may ride FREE. You must activate your ticket by “time-stamping” it in an orange machine at the station, prior to boarding the train.
Path Trains
Take the Path to Newark Penn Station. Board the Newark Light Rail to the Branch Brook Park station. Exit the station onto Heller Parkway, and make a left turn, which will take you to the main Race area inside the park.
By train from stations along the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line or Raritan Valley Line
Take train to Newark Penn Station. Proceed downstairs into the station and follow signs for Newark Light Rail (near McDonalds). Board a Newark Light Rail vehicle toward Grove Street. Exit at Branch Brook Park Station.
By train from stations along the Morris & Essex Lines
Take NJ TRANSIT to Newark Broad Street Station. Board a Newark Light Rail vehicle to Newark Penn Station. After stopping at Newark Penn, the light rail vehicle will depart for Grove Street (remain on the train through Newark Penn Station). Exit the light rail vehicle at Branch Brook Park Station.

Parking within Newark
For those who wish to park in Newark there are several options:
1. Newark Hall of Records - located at 465 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Newark, NJ 07102, will offer free parking in their Jurors’ Parking Lot. Those that park in the lot can then take the Light Rail from the Rutgers North Station which is located a few minutes walk from the lot to the Branch Brook Park Light Rail station. *Details on NJ Transit Newark Light Rail including schedule/fares can be found at http://www.njtransit.com/
*Please note this lot is offered on a first come first serve basis
2. Edison Parking Lot 155 - located at 83-91 Academy St (between Washington & University) will be available at a flat cost of $5 per vehicle. Lot 155 is located within 5 minutes walk of the Military Park Blue Line Light Rail stop at Broad Street and Raymond Blvd.

*Please be aware that cars remaining in this lot after 1pm will incur a $25 surcharge.
3. Edison ParkFast Lot 22 - located at 986 Raymond Blvd, (between Market & Commerce, across the street from the Newark Penn Station rear entrance/exit) will be available at a non discounted rate of $20 per vehicle. Take the Blue Line from Newark Penn Station to the Branch Brook Park stop

HANDICAP PARKING AND WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE BUS
All those needing wheelchair accessible bussing should park at the Broadacres Office Park. All drivers choosing to use this option should select the 7:00am bus. You will be taken by shuttle from the parking location to Essex County Branch Brook Park. Please also call the Susan G. Komen North Jersey Affiliate Office at 908-277-2904, ext.14 to let them know you will need access to a wheelchair accessible bus.
TEAM BUS DROP OFF AND PICK UP
All teams who will be providing their own shuttle bus to and from the Race should turn off Heller Parkway on to Park Drive. Park Drive will be closed from Heller Parkway to Grafton Avenue and team buses can stay there throughout the event. After the event, buses can pick teams up at the same location. Upon arrival at the location, clearly marked signs and parking attendants will assist in directing the bus to their exact drop-off and pick-up location. Please be patient as there may be waiting time during this period as there will be several buses arriving throughout the morning. Please call the Susan G. Komen North Jersey Affiliate Office at 908-277-2904 x14 to let them know if your team will be utilizing their own shuttle bus.
For private bus shuttle services we recommend Star Shuttle Service at www.starshuttle.net. Star Shuttle is offering a discount to all race participants.
