Driving to the Race:  PARKING INFORMATION

ALL RACE PARTICIPANT PARKING will be at the LIVINGSTON MALL in Livingston, NJ.  All Cars that drive directly to the Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex (Codey Arena, Turtle Back Zoo, or Safari Mini Golf) will be RE-DIRECTED to the Livingston Mall.

Handicapped Accessible Parking:

If you need access to Handicapped Accessible Parking we will make the necessary accommodations.  Please contact us in advance of May 13 to make arrangements by emailing race@komennorthjersey.org.

Where is the Livingston Mall?
The address of the Livingston Mall (via Mapquest) is 112 Eisenhower Parkway, Livingston, NJ 07039

Shuttle Buses:

We will have over 25 Shuttle Buses to bring participants from the LIVINGSTON MALL to the Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex.  Shuttles will be running continuously starting at 6:30am. 
The Shuttle Ride is approximately 10 minutes.  We will have uniformed parking assistance from Advanced Parking Concepts at the Livingston Mall to move the cars in as quickly as possible.

Shuttle buses will run from the Millburn Train Station to the Race site on Sunday, May 15, 2011.  Buses will pick up passengers at Millburn Train Station each hour, ON THE HOUR, starting at 7:00am.  JUST LOOK FOR THE RACE SIGNS or the BUSES in the Rail Station Parking Lot (on the westbound side of the tracks) to be picked up.  The ride to Codey Arena is approximately 15 minutes.

Buses will pick up passengers at Codey Arena each hour, ON THE :25 AFTER THE HOUR (:25), starting at 9:25am. JUST FOLLOW THE SIGNS FOR THE SHUTTLE BUSES to the MILLBURN TRAIN STATION. The ride to Millburn Train Station is approximately 15 minutes.

IMPORTANT ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION for Race Day

Road Closures:  The Race Event festivities will take place on the Archery Field near the corner of Cherry Lane and Northfield Avenue.

What Roads will be closed, and when? 

Starting at 4:30am on Sunday – Cherry Lane will be closed from Northfield to South Orange Avenue.  And, Brookside Drive will be closed from Glen Avenue in Short Hills to South Orange Avenue.

VERY IMPORTANT:  From 7:30am on Sunday until approximately 10:30am – SOUTH ORANGE AVENUE will be closed from Gregory Avenue in West Orange to Old Short Hills Road.  

Please make note of this and if you are driving to the Race site or the Livingston Mall.   
 

Please note:We anticipated attendance of 10,000 at the 2011 North Jersey Race for the Cure.  We encourage you to carpool to the event. Thank you in advance for helping us ensure the safety of ALL of our participants by following the transportation plan outlined above. 

 

TAKE NJ TRANSIT to the Race: 
Train and Bus Information

TRAIN Information: 

The Komen North Jersey Affiliate will have shuttle buses available at the MILLBURN TRAIN STATION throughout the day for those arriving by train (eastbound or westbound).  It is approximately 15 minutes via shuttle to the Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex.  The Millburn station is on the Morris & Essex Line and is accessible from New York Penn Station (via Midtown direct) and Newark Broad Street Station.  Please note that anyone traveling through Newark Penn Station needs to take the Light Rail from Newark Penn to Newark Broad to access the Morris & Essex line.

 BUS Information: 

The Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex is directly accessible via the #73 bus.

TEAM TRANSPORTATION: 

Is your company providing its own transportation to the Race?  Looking for a bus company?  The Komen North Jersey Affiliate is working with VANDERHOOF, a local West Orange company, for all of our transportation needs.  Their phone number is 973-325-0700.  Team Buses will be permitted to drop off & pick-up passengers at CODEY ARENA.  Please call Michelle at (908) 277-2904 x14 to reserve your spot today.

Team/Private Buses will park at Turtle Back Zoo.  Directions (PLEASE NOTE SOUTH ORANGE AVENUE WILL BE CLOSED)
